Another day out in Stuttgart

Yesterday Helena and myself went into Stuttgart to enjoy yet another scorcher of a day :) Summer sure is feeling like summer over here!

We went off to the zoo - I felt quite sorry for the animals in the zoo... The penguins' feathers were falling out, the rhino was banging on it's jail like bars, and the hippos looked as though they might just try to drown themselves.

Anyway, I took a few pictures, here they are:

Here's some of the animals:

That first animal wasn't at the zoo - David Hasselhof was in a bookstore we just happened to walk into, where he was doing some signings for his autobiography.

Back in the country, Helena and myself had a nice picnic today as well. Here's a picture :)

I got my first job interview today as well! I then got emailed and told that they didn't want me - I suspect that it's due to my lack of knowing German... I think that while translating my CV, and emailing people in German seemed like a good idea, it's probably better to email them in English, seeming that I don't actually know all that much German yet!

A day in the life of Stuttgart - Deutschland

On Sunday, Helena and I went to Stuttgart, for a photography day - you go around taking lots of photos of different things. It was quite cool, walking around with ~60 other photographers, taking pictures of anything and everything.

Especially cool was when we stopped a car which just happened to be a Mustang, taking photos of the car and driver, as if they were celebrities (who knows, they could have well been!).

Anyway, here's some pictures of a day in the life of Stuttgart - I've had a little editing done to them in photoshop ;)

Fussball world cup

Well Germany is in the semi finals for the world cup - they just smashed Argentina.

There's lots of Football supporters over here, you see houses with flags on them, and people driving around have flags on their cars. When Germany wins, everyone drives around and toots their horns.

They also have public viewings here and there (in the cities mainly though). The last German soccer match, I was at a public viewing. It's free to get in, and there's all sorts of supporters there, and you can buy beer, hot dogs(German wurst style lol), chips etc.

I'll have to take some pictures - I might be going into Stuttgart tomorrow which is about an hour from here, so I'll make sure I take my camera along if I do :)
